It was necessary to keep the local populations divided and isolated in some way. The same was done by the Europeans in Africa. The Europeans captured and enslaved the blacks and then sent them to Europe and America to beggars. In this case, it was very easy for the European settlers to control the remaining people on the African land. The Jews had to face the Palestinian majority.
In South Africa, the white minority was not allowed to adopt a policy based on extreme discrimination. It completely deprived the black majority of all basic rights. They were not even allowed to vote. On the other hand, the issue in Israel was that apartheid was hidden. After seven million Arabs were expelled from their adopted land, the area became part of Israel. There is no shortage of people in Israel who say that the policy that Israel has continued to crush the Palestinians and other Arabs for seven decades is absolutely correct.
