Whether your children ask you or not, you must tell them that we love Palestine because it is the abode and land of the prophets. Father of Prophets Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) migrated to Palestine. It was on this land that Hazrat Lot (peace be upon him) was saved from divine punishment. Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him) also built a mihrab here, which is still there today. Hazrat Sulaiman, the most powerful person in the world, used to sit on this land and rule the whole world. In Asqlan, a city in the same land, the famous story of the ant took place, which was later named Wadi al-Naml (Valley of the Ants), which is mentioned in the Qur’an: (Once he was traveling with them) until when they all reached the valley of ants, an ant said, “O ants, enter your burrows, lest Solomon (peace be upon him) and his army crush you and they do not even know.”
The arch of Hazrat Zakaria (peace be upon him) is also in the same city. Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) told his companions about this country to enter this holy city. He called this city “holy” because it was free from polytheism and was the abode of the Prophets. Many miracles took place in this city, including the blessed birth of Jesus from the womb of a virgin Bibi Hazrat Maryam. When the Jewish nation wanted to kill Jesus, Allah SWT took him up to heaven from that city. After giving birth, when a woman is at the extreme of her physical weakness, Bibi Maryam’s shaking of the palm trunk in such a state is also a divine miracle. One of the signs of the Day of Resurrection will be the place of Jesus on the same ground near the white minaret. Then Jesus will kill the Dajjal at Bab Lud in the same city.
Palestine is the land of destruction, and it is from this city that Gog and Magog will start their work of fighting and rioting in the land. One of the stories that happened in this city is the story of Talout and Goliath. Palestine also has the honor of being the first Qibla of Muslims after the obligation of prayer. After Hijrah (Islamic migration), Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) conveyed the order of Allah to the Prophet (peace be upon him) to turn from Masjid al-Aqsa (Palestine) to Baitullah Kaaba (Makkah) during the prayer, and the mosque in which this incident took place is still a mosque today. It is called Qiblatin. Before the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was taken to heaven on the night of Ascension, he was brought here from Makkah to Bait-ul-Maqdis (Palestine) where all the Prophets (Peace be upon him) offered prayers, thus Palestine once again became the abode of the Prophets.
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr says that I asked the Prophet, peace be upon him, which mosque was built first on earth? So, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Masjid al-Haram (i.e. the House of Kaaba). I asked, “Then which one?” (When was the mosque built) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Al-Aqsa Mosque (i.e. Bait al-Maqdis) I then asked how much distance was there between the two? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Forty years, and wherever you find time for prayer, you should pray there, so that is the mosque.”
After the departure of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Hazrat Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه sent the army prepared by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to the land of Syria (Palestine) despite the dire need of military and manpower to deal with the temptation of apostasy and many other difficulties ,unforgettable fact. During the golden era of Hazrat Umar Farooq, leaving aside the conquests around the world, just for the victory of Palestine, Sayyiduna Umar himself went and offered prayers here, highlighting the greatness of this city. The re-conquest of this city by Salahuddin Ayyubi on Friday 27th Rajab 583 Hijri on the night of the second Ascension is also a sign.
Bait al-Maqdis used to be called Quds before the Qur’an, when the Qur’an was revealed, it was named Al-Aqsa Mosque. Quds is due to the sanctity of this city which distinguishes it from other cities. To achieve this city and to save it from the persecution of the Romans, more than five thousand companions were martyred, and the chapter of martyrdom has not been closed till today, the series is still going on. This city is thus a city of martyrs.
The importance of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the country of Syria is exactly the same as the Two Holy Harams. When this verse of the Holy Qur’an was revealed (وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ وَطُورِسِينِينَ وَهَـٰذَا الْبَلَدِالْأَمِينِ) then Ibn Abbas says that We made the country of Syria “Al-Zeitoun” with figs, and the country of Palestine with “Al-Tain”. And the Senin argued from the mountain of Egypt where Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) used to speak to Allah. The argument was taken from this holy verse of the Qur’an (وَلَقَدْكَتَبنَافِي الزَّبُورِمِن بِدِّدِّكْرَّنَّ الْأرْضَ يَرِتِهَاعِبَادِيَ الصَالِهُونَ) that the Ummah of Muhammad is actually the inheritor of this holy land. The greatness of Palestine can also be estimated from the fact that every prayer offered here is rewarded 500 times.
For the last two months, everyone is aware of the bloodshed in Gaza-Palestine, but US National Security Coordinator John Kirby is shedding tears on the media. His tears are not for destroying the lives of more than 11 lakh people in Afghanistan, more than 1.3 million in Iraq, more than one million in Syria, more than half million in Libya and more than half million in Yemen, but for the illegitimate state of Israel and the usurpers living in it, shedding tears over possible defeat. But not ready to learn any lesson from history.
Remember the lesson of history! When it was not allowed to pray in the streets of Makkah and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was talking about conquering Caesar and Kasri. Bani Israel were not allowed to have children and Moses (peace be upon him) was dreaming of freedom from Pharaoh. The Communist Party of Russia was not allowed to speak in its own country and used to talk about overthrowing the throne in London. In short, only those who talk about big dreams and idealism have changed the course of history, those who adapt to the situation may have taken temporary interest, but no historical change is their thing. The sun is going to set on the monopoly of global imperialism. They are worried about how the beleaguered Hamas has been fighting them for the past two months and Israel has not been able to release its prisoners.
