Sacrifice, Resolve, and Hope: The Noble Journey of Pakistan

A Flame of Faith Illuminated Against the Darkness of Adversity

In this tempestuous era, we dwell upon a stage where the clash of civilisations is no longer a mere abstraction of theory, nor a chapter confined to academic discourse, but a pivotal chapter in the destiny of nations. This is a contest wherein the survival of peoples, the ascendancy of creeds, and the very measure of justice itself are weighed upon the scales of history. Indeed, ours is an age wherein this clash has transcended the realm of speculation and taken its place upon the brutal fields of action.

Today, we stand upon the crossroads of fate, where truth and falsehood, light and darkness, equity and tyranny, stare one another down. We move inexorably towards an era wherein the collision of civilisations is no longer a matter of abstract theory, but of concrete and palpable reality. This is no longer a struggle of mere civilities or material interests; it is an engagement upon the higher planes of belief, ideology, and spiritual conviction. We have become denizens of an age wherein Islam and the West, the Orient and Europe, justice and despotism, illumination and obscurity, grapple upon the earth’s expanse to shape its future.

The phrase “clash of civilisations” first surfaced upon the pages of Bernard Lewis and later gained currency through the pen of Samuel Huntington. Yet its roots stretch far beyond the present moment. Its provenance lies deep within the currents of historical rivalry. In the waning years of the twentieth century, as the Cold War waned and the Soviet Union succumbed to dissolution, both Lewis and Huntington articulated this theory, forewarning that the coming era would be defined by a conflict of civilisations.

It was upon this intellectual anvil that Henry Kissinger, the eminent strategist of Jewish heritage, forged the concept of the “One World Order”—a design wherein the supremacy of a select few would govern the global balance, and wherein Islamic civilisation would be cast as the central threat of the new age. Its purpose was clear: to entrench global dominion upon the ruins of the old order. Yet, lurking in the shadows of this design was the same Zionist-Crusader agenda, meticulously woven by Kissinger, Brzezinski, and their ilk, rising from the ashes of the Soviet collapse, as the West cast about for a new adversary.

This conceit emerged precisely when the Soviet spectre was vanquished, and the West required a fresh antagonist upon which to hone its global designs. Hence, Islam was anointed as the “enemy number one” and placed upon the altar of a new ideological and military campaign. Kissinger’s “One World Order” was no more than a blueprint for a global dispensation wherein economic might, military supremacy, and resource dominance would reside within a narrow coterie of powers, relegating Islam and other civilisations to the status of mere vassals and consumers and maligning the rich diversity of the human race as an obstacle to global peace.

The theory of the clash of civilisations emerged in the immediate aftermath of the Cold War and the Soviet Union’s disintegration. Its central tenet was plain: with the end of bipolar rivalry, new civilisational fault lines would arise. The publication of Huntington’s Clash of Civilisations announced this to the world. Its import was profound, for it signified that future global conflicts would no longer be defined by ideology alone (as between communism and capitalism), but would arise upon civilisational, cultural, and religious grounds.

Kissinger, as the architect of this “One World Order,” laid the foundation upon which future global dominion would rest. The theory promulgated by Kissinger and others was never intended as a mere exercise in intellectual inquiry; it was a manifesto for global supremacy, an assertion that future conflicts would extend beyond the economic and political spheres, reaching deep into the religious and cultural heartlands of mankind. Its object was to justify, in perpetuity, the military and economic ascendancy of the United States and its allies, and to cast the Muslim world—and other rising civilisations—as “antagonists” upon the global stage. Yet history reminds us that no design, no matter how grand, can escape the scrutiny of Providence. As the Almighty Himself has decreed:
یُرِیدُونَ أَن یُطْفِـُٔوا۟نُورَٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَ هِمْ وَیَأْبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّآأَن یُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوْكَرِهَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ(التوبۃ:۳۲)
They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.
نورخداہے کفرکی حرکت پہ خندہ زن
پھونکوں سے یہ چراغ بجھایا نہ جائے گا (ظفر علی خان)
“The flame of the Almighty shines forth undimmed, and no breath of tyranny can extinguish its light.” — Zafar Ali Khan

Let us now contemplate the political canvas upon which this tragedy unfolds.
It is common knowledge that the United States, in its long and chequered history of alliances, anointed Pakistan as its forward bastion against the advancing bear of the Soviet Union, and, in turn, recruited the Afghan Mujahideen as its ‘instruments’ upon this turbulent frontier. Yet the defeat of the Red Army in the mountains of Afghanistan was no accident of fate, nor a feat attributable to Afghan arms alone. Nay, it was the luminous witness of an Islamic resolve, a testament to the fervent faith that rose like a flame, defeating a godless leviathan. The victory promised to bestow upon the region the gifts of peace and liberty.

But scarcely had the Soviet bear been laid low, when the sun of American betrayal rose upon the horizon. The collapse and disintegration of the Soviet Union were heralded as America’s triumph, yet for Pakistan and Afghanistan this victory became a bitter chalice. The United States, having wrung the utmost service from its ‘allies’, now embraced the infamous doctrine of “use and discard” — a practice long embedded within the annals of its foreign policy, wherein a ‘friend’ is cherished only until their usefulness has waned, and then cast aside like a broken tool.

This was no mere diplomatic perfidy; it was an enduring tenet of American statecraft, one that hearkens to a grim maxim: ‘Embrace until exhausted, then abandon without remorse.’ History bears witness that this creed guided America from the ruins of Europe to the ravaged fields of Korea and Vietnam, and across the sands of the Middle East. Yet despite this well-established pattern, our own annals bear shameful examples wherein sovereign honour was sacrificed upon the altar of temporary expedience. The lesson of 1965 and the tragedy of Dhaka should have been seared upon our collective memory, and yet when the winds of 9/11 blew across the globe, we were once more lured into the embrace of American design — and as soon as the object was achieved, the dagger was buried deep within our spine.

It came to pass that, scarcely hours after the Soviet retreat from Afghanistan, President Bush the Younger announced to the world a new chapter — a civil nuclear accord with India. Finalised upon the 18th of July, 2005, this accord was no mere agreement, but a calculated stratagem, a blade aimed squarely at the heart of Pakistani sovereignty. Its purpose was plain: to distort the balance of power in South Asia, anointing India as the paramount force of the region and, in due course, as a bulwark to be used against the rising giant of China.

Thus was inaugurated the chapter of “yesterday’s friends, today’s foes” — wherein both Pakistan and Afghanistan, the faithful comrades of America’s campaign, were cast adrift upon the turbulent seas of betrayal. The sacrifices rendered upon this theatre were met with the sting of treachery and the cold steel of a dagger plunged deep within the spine of a faithful ally. The ‘civil nuclear agreement’ between the United States and India was the very instrument of this betrayal, a calculated shift designed to diminish Pakistan’s geostrategic relevance and to shackle it upon the anvil of American and Indian interests.

It is a chapter that will echo down the corridors of history as a grim reminder for generations yet to come — a witness to how America, having reaped the spoils of victory upon Afghan soil, left its erstwhile ally to bear the scars of war and betrayal. Yet for one who gazes upon the long arc of American interventions — across three dozen nations, from the heart of Europe to the sands of Arabia — this betrayal comes as no revelation. The United States has seldom departed from any land as a conqueror, but always as a humiliated exile, its mission reduced to a lesson in the transient nature of its alliances and the permanence of its enmities.

During the bitter conflict of May, when hostilities flared between Pakistan and India, Washington at first feigned neutrality, declaring that it had ‘no stake’ in the matter. Yet when Israeli-operated drones emerged upon the battlefield, and Pakistani falcons rose to answer the call, the veil was torn asunder. The Pakistani Air Force, with precision and audacity, silenced those foreign operators and laid bare the complicity of Israel upon this contested soil. In that moment, the fortress of American duplicity shook upon its foundations. The harried race for a ceasefire, conducted with frantic urgency from the corridors of Washington, bore witness to a grim realisation — that Pakistan’s reach was no longer confined to its immediate neighbour. The spectre of its reprisal, extending even to Israel, was a reality too potent for America to ignore.

The arrival of Israeli ‘Harop’ drones upon the Indo-Pakistani battlefield, and the death of their operators, stripped bare the hypocrisy of American policy and revealed the depth of its entanglement. The clash of civilisations, long prophesied, now revealed itself upon the plains and skies of South Asia. The theatre was no longer limited to the fraternal rivalry of India and Pakistan; it had become a global amphitheatre wherein Israel and the United States, by proxy and complicity, revealed their hand.

In this grim chapter of history, the betrayal of a trusted ally stands as a witness to the call of conscience and the inexorable march of nations towards a reckoning. What was once a theory upon the pages of Huntington has become a palpable reality upon the fields of conflict. The clash of civilisations is no longer a whisper upon the winds of speculation, but the trumpet blast upon the ramparts of history. It is a chapter that reminds us all — that nations rise and fall upon the strength of their resolve, upon the steadfastness of their principles, and upon the immortality of their honour.

The Gathering Storm: The New Trilateral Conspiracy Against Pakistan
Today, Pakistan finds itself confronting its gravest challenge yet — the looming axis of the United States, India, and Israel. The triumvirate of Modi, Netanyahu, and Trump aims to encircle Pakistan, to hem it in with a ring of steel. American policy, it appears, has taken upon itself the charge of granting Israel and India a free hand to harry and harass Pakistan.

Pakistan’s position, rooted in its historical, political, and spiritual heritage, is plain for all to witness. It is the lone, solemnly entrusted nuclear power of the Muslim world. In the recent clash upon the plains of South Asia, Pakistan proved that it is not only capable of matching India and Israel upon the conventional battlefield but is possessed of the fortitude to carry the struggle to its bitter end. Yet the enemy triumvirate, stung by its defeat, now resorts to a more insidious stroke.

It is no accident that the Indian Foreign Minister, in a fit of bravado, announced the abrogation of the Indus Waters Treaty, threatening to deprive Pakistan of every precious drop. An open threat such as this, Pakistan has rightly proclaimed, constitutes an act of war. This denunciation by New Delhi — and the ringing response from Islamabad — signals that the clash of civilisations may soon consume the wider expanse of South Asia. The refusal of Modi to accept Trump’s invitation to Washington is no mere slight; it is a calculated signal that the old order is waning, and new alignments are afoot.

At this delicate juncture, one must ask: Will America stand beside Pakistan, or will it, true to its long tradition, make of this proud nation a pawn upon the global chessboard, as it strengthens its hand with Israel and India? The design of this trio is plain for those with eyes to see — it aims to paralyse Pakistan’s ability to respond, to embroil it upon new fronts until its resolve is sapped.
The threat posed by the Indian Foreign Minister is more than a challenge to Pakistan’s sovereignty — it is an assault upon its very survival and honour. We are all too aware that the very existence of a nuclear-armed and strategically pivotal Pakistan is a thorn in the side of both Washington and Tel Aviv. The declaration by Netanyahu, wherein he openly avowed that after Iran, it is Pakistan’s nuclear programme that stands as a target, has stripped bare the mask of American duplicity.

General Asim Munir’s reception in Washington was no routine excursion in military diplomacy, but a calculated mission to assess how the United States now regards Pakistan’s nuclear status. Meanwhile, Modi’s refusal to accept Trump’s invitation serves as a telltale sign that the Indo–US entente is far from a settled affair.

In this great theatre of nations, one finds echoes of a deeper, older struggle — one rooted in sacred traditions and holy writ. The ‘Ghazwa e Hind’ is no relic of a bygone era, but a chapter in the making. According to the cherished traditions and hadith of the Prophet, this moment in history presages the rise of the Mahdi and the descent of Jesus, son of Mary. It is upon the plains of the East that this final struggle will be waged — a struggle that will raise the banner of Islam anew and witness the demise of Israel, the liberation of Jerusalem, and the long awaited end of tyranny. The Prophet, upon whom be peace, spoke of a band destined for immortality — one that will march upon Hind, and another that will rally with Jesus, son of Mary. Their charge will be to raise the standard of Islam, extinguish the cruelty of Israel, bury the pride of the West, slay the Antichrist, and restore the Caliphate upon this earth. All this is promised within the sacred pages of our tradition.

In truth, we are not entering a new era but returning to an ancient and eternal struggle — the clash between the forces of light and darkness, between tyranny and justice. At such a time, Allah Almighty has promised victory to the faithful. Let us make our prayer in the words of the Holy Book:
فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَـٰفِرِينَ۔(البقرہ:286)
“Help us, O Lord, against the disbelieving people” (Qur’an 2:286)

A Clash of Civilisations and the Hour of Destiny
We live in an age where mankind is witness not merely to a clash of civilisations, but to an eternal struggle between Truth and Falsehood, between Justice and Tyranny, between Light and the encroaching Dark. This is no longer the collision of nations upon a temporal canvas, nor a sterile academic exercise, nor some faint whisper of ancient prophecy. It is the very reality of our era.

The United States and its allies have woven this struggle into the threads of their imperial designs, making it an instrument for the protection of their dominion and the hoarding of the world’s resources. The survival and honour of the Muslim Ummah hinge upon its ability to comprehend this clash and rise to its challenge, inspired by the force of Monotheism, the scales of Justice, and the tenacity of Courage. In this gathering storm, nations such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and others must stand vigilant and united upon the field of strife.

This is no age for slumber or complacency. This is an epoch for awakening and illumination. The struggle before us is one of Faith and Disbelief, of Justice and Oppression, of Light and Darkness. The sacred duty of Pakistan and the wider Muslim world is to assert themselves upon this historic stage with intellectual unity, military readiness, diplomatic acumen, and economic resilience.

To the faithful I say: O you upon whose shoulders rests the heritage of history and upon whose horizon unfolds the trials of the future — ignite within yourselves the flame of conviction! The world now stands upon the threshold of decision, and your steadfastness, your clarity of purpose, will shape its course.

This is the era wherein the Muslim Ummah must arise — steadfast upon the ramparts of Faith, vigilant upon the fields of Knowledge, Politics, and Martial Might. To hold firm the rope of Monotheism, to hone character and steel together as one — this is the call of the times. Will we remain bound by the chains of servitude, or shall we rise as heralds of a new dawn?

Remember well: this collision of civilisations is no mere worldly contest, no shallow victory or defeat upon the plain of matter. It is the working of Divine Decree. Whosoever embraces this call with Faith, Vision, and Historical Insight, that nation shall rise to the heights of glory.

And so, to this end, I leave you with a final entreaty. Let the courage that adorned the banners of Saladin and Tipu Sultan, the lucidity that inspired Iqbal, the resolve that defined Jinnah, and the audacity that marked Maududi — let these be your inheritance and your guide. Let the promise of Imam Mahdi and the return of the Messiah illuminate the path that stretches before you.

Remember always the eternal truth: ذَ‌ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَأَنَّ الْكَافِرِينَ لَا مَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ۔(محمد:11)
That is because Allah is the protector of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector. (Qur’an 47:11)

Where Faith endures, where Trust abides, victory rests upon its threshold. And where victory shines, the luminous edifice of a faithful civilisation shall rise once more.
وَآخِرُ دَعْوَانَا أَنِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِینَ
And the final word rests with Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.
وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلاَمُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُه
Peace and mercy be upon you, and upon all those who walk the path of truth and steadfastness.
