یٰۤاَیُّهَاالَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْاكُتِبَ عَلَیْكُمُ الصِّیَامُ كَمَاكُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُوْنَ(البقرہ:183)
"O you who have believed! Fasting has been prescribed upon you as it was prescribed upon those before you, so that you may become righteous."
